Mini-CogTM Screening Tool

The Mini-CogTM is a brief (< 5min), validated assessment that measures executive function and memory.

(Borson S, Scanlan JM, Chen PJ et al., 2003; Borson S, Scanlan JM, Watanabe J et al., 2006)

In HF patients, poor performance on the Mini-CogTM is associated with worse post-hospitalization outcomes and increased risk of readmissions (Patel et al. 2015; Patel et al, 2016)

What is the accuracy of the Mini-CogTM screen?

The Mini-CogTM classifies moderate and severe dementia with excellent accuracy; mild dementia with good accuracy; Mild Cognitive Impairment with modest accuracy
