Hello, and welcome to the SKIP study! SKIP stands for sleep intervention for kids and parents. We are interested in better understanding sleep in children with asthma and their parents. We are also testing an intervention to see if we can help children and their parents sleep better. To start, we want to tell you a little bit about why sleep matters.

The purpose of this project is to test a new sleep self-management program – Sleep Intervention for Kids and Parents (SKIP). Participants in this study will be 6-11 year old children with asthma and their parent. This project is supported in part by a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Institute of Nursing Research P30NR016585 Center for Innovation in Sleep Self-Management (CISSM).
